"No Other Woman" Like Christine Reyes

She is not just a pretty face with a killer body. She can act and prove she can be a box office queen contender too.

Christine Reyes' "No Other Woman" is a huge success and now on it's third week in the theaters. This movie which is produced by Star Cinema and Viva has already earned over P200 million says the producers. It is now the highest-grossing local film yet.

It was almost a dream come true according to Christine Reyes since not all celebrities or artists can achieve such. Although she is going to be sharing this 'prestige' with her co-star, Ann Curtis, she is still just as happy.

I have not watched the said movie in the theaters, though. I might just have to wait for it to hit the DVDs.

This movie trailer might do it for now, I guess.

Isabel Oli Blows SM Bacoor!

I was in SM Bacoor with Tita Edna, Tita Lisa and my girlfriend. We were near the grocery section when we heard that PLDT is having an event.

PLDT Crew Kat Alano, Isabel Oli, and some lucky dude were on stage and giving away some gadgets and stuff to the lucky audience. If only I were not with my girlfriend and her mom and tita, I'm pretty sure I would have been much closer to the stage than I was. Kat Alano and Isabel Oli would have been friends with my HTC Touch Pro camera. That moment would have quenched my 'thirst' for celebrity sightings.

I was able to snap some shots here and there but, darn, I am not gonna post them here. The pictures I took will not give justice to the beauty those gals have prepared for the audience. The pictures were blurry because I was in a hurry to take them.

The event was about the PLDT Ultra Broadband Blowout, where thousands got to apply on the spot for myDSL with just one valid ID, no cash out on brand new laptop with free myDSL of up to four months. I have always wanted to get a stable internet connection at home but still can't decide which provider to sign up for. PLDT got Isabel Oli and the gang to 'pimp' their plans and services. But does it work? Well, they got the crowd--mostly men, by the way-- but will they get their loyalty too?

PLDT got me thinking of considering their internet services for a minute there.

Tsinelas For The Kids

Back in the province in Cebu, thrives a group composed of happy volunteers. Their goal is to help every poor student in the mountain barangays and other depressed areas in Cebu. They are a non-government and not-for-profit organization.
I have heard of Tsinelas Association Inc. few years back when I was just trying to find my way here in the larger Metro of Manila. The one who heads this group used to be a seminarian and whom I know. Well, we may not be that close when I was still in the seminary years back. But since the seminary is one small community, almost everyone had the chance to be close to each other.

The group aims to wake up into a place where children are not deprived of education just because of poverty. They help assist children to stay in school and also aid teachers in bringing into the table quality education to those kids. Some of what they do are supply school supplies and even provide tuition and school fees to them. There are also times when they give seminars and workshops to these kids so they will discover their potentials.

Tsinelas Association Inc wants to help ‘one step at a time’.
